Lorri’s Biography
Writing my biography has proven a difficult task, which could be the reason this website has gone so long without it. However, I realize having read the biographies of others, how important it can be to the seeker. We are curious, and like to get a feel for the person who is expounding their beliefs. Does the person have the knowledge and experience to “know” what they are talking about? What are their credentials, and most importantly, can I believe what they are saying or is it a scam? These are the questions that go through my mind, so I am pretty confident that they are running through yours.
We each come into this world with a purpose, whether we realize it or not. How long it takes us to “find” that purpose is totally up to each individual. You, the reader, must realize this or you wouldn’t be reading these words. For me it was when I was 21 and woke up one morning with the thought “there has to be more to life than this”.
I was raised a strict Protestant, I won’t go into which sect, but there were very definite rules and any infraction had potential to send you straight to hell.
At the age of three I was seeing colored lights around people, knowing things before they happened, and having conversations with invisible friends. I was also singing on a literal soapbox (so that I could be seen on the dais) in front of an audience of about 400 at church. Needless to say my life was already a bit different. My parents took it in stride and proclaimed my “knowing” as visions from god, my invisible friends my imagination, however, if I did not stop talking about the lights the people in the little white coats would come and take me away.
By the time I was a teenager life got more interesting. I had read the bible through many times, memorized verses and all the books of the bible (my mother was a Sunday School Teacher). However, what I found was that I could no longer tell peers and friends things I “knew” were going to happen. Instead of my words being used to prevent danger and inconveniences, I was accused of causing these things to happen and labeled a witch. In my world at that time a witch was a very bad thing and came from the devil. I quickly learned to keep quiet and only told things to family.
At the age of 19 I got married to a man I knew for one month. By the age of 22 I had two children, a boy first and then a girl. At the age of 26 I left my husband for good, after living through three years of his mental illness (paranoid schizophrenia). Shortly after I met my soul mate and we have been together ever since.
I have done many different “jobs” in my life to make money and put food on the table. I have been everything from a personal secretary to a medical transcriber.
My purpose came about at 26, when I started extensive study and development of my psychic abilities. Through meditation and speaking to my spirit guides my purpose became clear to me. When I presented this to my soul mate, he showed me a drawing he had commissioned of the pyramid he came to build. At that point we realized that we came together for the same purpose.
For the last 25+ years I have been counseling, teaching classes, writing books and gliding down the path of enlightenment. My credentials mean nothing, however. You must decide if the words I write resonate with you, and if you can garner anything out of them to help you along your way. It is not about me at this moment, but about you. I have found my path and I stand here with a torch to help you see yours. The choice, as always, is yours and yours alone.
