"MEDITATION CHAPTER 7"
THIRD EYE MEDITATION
This meditation is for people who already
have a pretty good handle on meditation. I will
explain the third eye, for those who have not
heard of it before.
In the center of your forehead you will feel
a slight indentation. It is believed that this
is the "spiritual" eye of our physical body. A
place for our spirit to look through, a third eye
to the outside world "in a manner of speaking".
Many things can be done through the third
eye, such as sending and receiving energy (energy
is the next book, so I won't get ahead of
myself).
This meditation is often used to view the
future, or clear some obstacle that is from the
past. What you use it for is up to you.
For this meditation go to your meditation
spot. It does not matter if you are sitting up
or laying down for this one. In fact, if you
want to practice this one during the day when you
have a minute it is an easy one to do in your
chair at work.
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths
to relax. Now, you are going to focus on the
spot directly between your eyes (on the
forehead). If you have trouble realizing where
this is simply take your fingers and run them
along the forehead and it will become apparent.
There is no right or wrong here, as in most
things. Some people see colors, some see
darkness, some see a red glow... Whatever you
see, just keep concentrating in that area and let
whatever flows go in and out. Sometimes you will
see vague images made up of the dark spots
(almost like a negative from a camera).
If different thoughts try to come in, gently
push them away and go back to your focus point.
This meditation can be very intense and depending
on the experience you are having you may not be
able to hold it for a long period of time. This
is fine, just leave it and go back to it at
another time. This one will need a building up
level, where you can do it longer and longer.
VARIATION
Once you have gotten this meditation down,
now comes the fun part. If you have a question
about a problem in your life, or something that
you are not clear about, simply think about this
as you are doing this meditation. The answer may
come in the form of a vision, or in a thought
form producing itself. Some people actually hear
a voice.
This meditation can also be used to see your
future. Remember when seeing the future,
however, that the future you are seeing is the
one you will have if everything stays the same.
If you make one different choice in your life you
can affect that future. Therefore, if there is
something you see that you want, keep going in
the direction you are going and you will be sure
to get it. However, if it is something that you
don't want, make a different choice along the way
and it won't happen.
This meditation can also be used for past
life regressions in the same way. If you want to
know about a past life, simply meditate and it
will start to appear. Allow the images to flow
and disseminate the information at a later time.
Sometimes after a meditation like this you will
seemingly lose some of the information. I like
to focus on a key point during the meditation to
help bring the information back with me when I am
totally conscious and able to think about it.
For instance, maybe I want to look at my
clothes and what I look like to help bring me
into the time I was in. If there is something
that happens that is significant, tune in on
that. Significant things are easier to remember
rather than what color flowers were in the vase
on the table.
